Why I love working with new businesses

Because I am one! After dreaming and planning for a long time I finally started my own design studio from my home outside Gorey, Wexford in September 2020. I remember the feeling of not knowing where to start on the business and design side of things. What is my message? What design work should I take on? Where do I find my first client? How do I invoice? Track money? The list was endless really. There were so many details that consumed me and as organised as I thought I was the list of things to do only grew more and more in those initial few months.

I love working with businesses in their early days because I know that feeling of overwhelm, fear, confusion and excitement. And if I can make that journey a little easier for them and take some of their stress away by taking on a logo / identity project with clear communication and expectations then it leaves them open to tackle other items on their list.

And if I can share some of my own starting a business experiences that might help them on their journey then that’s even better!
